In this issue: Meet
the Painters Peggi • Robin • Crisandra
Artista guests are inspiring, accomplished women of all ages
and backgrounds, looking for a unique, shared experience.
They have one thing in common- their desire to discover or
rediscover their own creativity. They share a love of color,
fabrics, gardening, decorating, crafting and outdoor activities.
We believe all women have innate artistic talent. Some just
don't know it yet. Come join us and find yours.
Join us for our upcoming En
Cera encaustic safari beginning October 15th. Encaustic painting is an ancient and permanent
painting technique rediscovered by contemporary artists. The
nature of the medium is also suitable for collage, imbedding
objects into the wax, and an unlimited variety of three dimensional
effects. This can result in a layered, velvety sheen like the
topping on a glazed donut. This workshop accommodates beginners
and experienced artists alike, but prior art experience is
not required. Students will have the opportunity to create
several encaustic paintings and learn the history of encaustic
and the nature of the medium.
