Happy Birthday to Us... Las Olas is 10!
November marks Las Olas Surf Safaris for Women's 10th
year of introducing women to surfing. Since 1997, we've taught
more than 2000 women to surf thanks to glowing referrals from
past guests and reviews like the recent one in the Malibu
Times.
They called us their #1 surf camp.
Even though Las Olas is growing up, that doesn't mean you
have to. Our mantra is still "We make girls out of women."
It's a great time to join us and see what it's all about.
And if you're an alumnae, we'd love to see you again. Sessions
are full until April, so contact us soon for your spot
later this spring or in 2007/08.

Las Verdes Tees Off!
Women from as far away as Southhampton, NY and Vancouver,
BC joined us on the greens to celebrate the swinging success
of our maiden voyage of Las
Verdes Golf Safaris for Women. New golfers strolled
onto the fairway at Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley, voted by
Golf for Women magazine as one of the most women-friendly
resorts in the USA. LPGA instructor Katherine Nino and her
excellent teacher's aide, Lisa Sherman, guided the group
through rounds of golf followed by rounds of cocktails. Naturally,
each evening they were chauffeured back to Carmel-by-the-Sea's
lovely Cypress Inn to dine and catch up on the day's events.
After
three days of on-the-course instruction, our brand new golfers
lined up their own tee times back home - the first sign of
a healthy addiction.
Helen Gifford, of Southhampton, NY, didn't
want to leave. She said, "If it weren't for the fact that
my new set of clubs and golfwear were arriving home the same
day as me, I'd be changing my flight to stay and play with
the other guests who extended their vacation."

Somebody's going surfing!
You may recall, Athleta women's
sportswear catalog Win a Surf Safari contest last summer. You may have even entered
in the hopes that you would be treated to a week of sunny surf in Mexico. And
you probably bought your bikini and packed your sunscreen in preparation for
the day Athleta announced the winner. Well, that day is here, and if your name
is Carol Wasp, personal trainer from Rocky River, Ohio, you're going surfing!
Carol will ditch chilly Ohio weather and join our Las
Olas Surf Safari for Women just when she needs it most. "I
never enter anything and was so surprised I won!" says
Carol, "I'm looking forward to it."
We're looking forward to Carol's first safari, too. If
she thinks winning was a pleasant surprise, wait until she
catches her first wave.
This coming Spring, we'll be giving away two more safaris.
Log onto http://www.athleta.com and
join their mailing list. That way you'll be the first to learn
about their Spring '07 contest or call us at Las Olas (831)
625-5748 for more details.
Congrats Carol - see you in Mexico!
